Technology is constantly changing, and here at St. Mary, we are diligently trying to keep up. This year, we are pleased to welcome three additional SMART boards to the school to give us Smartboards in every classroom in the main building. We have a mobile Smartboard going into the Kindergarten and 1st Grade Mobile to be shared between the classes.
Each student in grades 1-8 is issued a Chromebook at the start of the school year. Preschool and Kindergarten are given iPads, which remain in the classrooms.
All grades participate in technology classes once a week. Various lessons are covered, from typing skills to coding, with so much in between. Our school is Google-based, so all students will learn how to use all that Google offers, depending on their grade.
We always look for new and exciting ways to bring technology into the classrooms. Many teachers have their virtual classroom for easy-to-use links throughout the school day to simplify the process of going to websites.
