St. Mary School Mission

St. Mary Church of Elgin is a Roman Catholic Parish united with our Bishop of the Diocese of Rockford, and through him,  the Church Universal, and accountable to his pastoral representative.  We are a community of people of diverse backgrounds called together to proclaim, teach, and live the gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We strive to respond to this calling by our oneness in worship and our efforts to promote Catholic Christian values through education.  We believe, through our actions, that we offer opportunities for spiritual growth and social activities to our community to encourage a Christ-centered lifestyle.

Regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity, we offer a safe, Christian environment for all who enter the doors of St. Mary Catholic School.  Our experienced and dedicated faculty and staff are second to none, emphasizing developing our students’ moral values in conjunction with their academic talents.
